    The balconies offer some pleasant views across the Nile River. The bedrooms present a decent level of cleanliness.

    Air conditioning issues plagued multiple rooms in our group, with showers malfunctioning and bathrooms showing signs of neglect. On an island with limited transport options, you're stuck relying on a hotel shuttle that adds unnecessary delays to your plans.

    This is a large hotel with all the accroutrements one would expect from this chain - I stayed at a few of their hotels in Egypt and they were pretty much all of apiece - well appointed, clean, with good, helpful staff....

    The amazing views from the Double or Twin Room, Nile view set the mood for relaxation. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the Nile and enjoying breakfast by the river was such a good experience.

    Nice hotel and fantastic island. Great food in their restaurant. Shuttle boat runs 24 / 7 from island to mainland. Easy walk to shopping from shuttle boat.

    Some staff appeared to be snobbish and not very welcoming. We had booked months earlier and requested a high floor with interconnecting rooms. We had booked for 1 night and the staff insisted we booked for 2 nights and that we will have to pay 2 nights when we had paper work from Booked.net for 1 night. We were then given rooms where we had to walk outside the hotel, down several flights of stairs to get to our rooms. Not impressed. We told them that we had requested on Booked.net rooms on a high floor so as not to be disturbed by the shuttle boat continually going all night and day. They then put us into room on a higher floor which were not connecting.

    The views from our room overlooking the river were amazing. The hotel provides a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful gardens.

    We found the mattress quality similar to budget motels, disappointing.

    Even at a 4 star hotel the porters have there hands out for bakshish. They need an extra attendant at the pool. The pool is too deep.
